Oh my. . .how do I even begin to describe today? It was so wonderful! First thing this morning (first thing in terms of sleeping in and not having to wake up for anything) we headed to the Qua Baths & Spa at Ceasar's Palace. (No spa pictures. . .we were to busy relaxing!)
The spa was wonderful. . .the atmosphere was perfect and I felt so relaxed from the very beginning. We each had our treatment done and my person was wonderful! The treatment was a mixture between full body exfoliation and a hot oil treatment with a massage and a head and scalp massage (which I slept through because I was just so relaxed). It was a dream! Then we just sat in these heated chairs by some waterfalls and read for the next several hours. After showering and taking our time to get ready, we headed back to our hotel to get ready for dinner.
Dinner was yummy. We ate at Tao which is excellent Chinese food. We had tempura sweet potatoes (I know, a little advanced for me) and some Thai shrimp with spicy pineapple sauce that was my favorite! I had Kung Pao Chicken for dinner and it was great. My mom even tried all of the food we ordered and LIKED it! I was so excited! And our fortunes from our CHOCOLATE fortune cookies were HYSTERICAL!
Then we headed through the Venetian towards the Grand Lux for dessert. . .and on the way, we got a little side-tracked (WARNING: if you have come to my blog to make yourself feel better by pointing out my short-comings, just take a break from reading at this point!). . .side-tracked by Star Wars penny slots. As my friends and family know (the people I am actually writing to), my kids (especially Dax) LOVE Star Wars. When I saw the Star Wars penny slots, the "force" was pulling me in. So, I put in $20 from BeBe and won $80 and then I put in my own $20 and won nearly $200! I was so excited! It was so fun to win on Star Wars! (Thanks, Dax!)
Then we headed to the Lux for SUPER YUMMY dessert. . .red velvet cake, apple pie and "cupcake collision!" There aren't words!
And now we are back in our rooms for the evening (before nine) and we are enjoying reading. What a SUPER GREAT day!
